So what has been going on with me recently....I graduate undergraduate college! Now I am a recent Columbia College graduate with a BA in Psychology! <3. So I have graduated with:
A 3.69 GPA
Awarded the Deans list for four out of seven semesters
Five professors asking me to be references for my Graduate and Employment applications
I am currently reading Wind, Sand, Stars by Saint Exupery by recommendation of one professor and Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach by another professor. They told me to read them before deciding on a graduate school to attend.
I am still working on the three out of five chapters for novel.
Since I will not be able to attend college until fall 2014 I have applied for a special education paraprofessional position at a local K-12 school.
I am looking in colleges with degrees in Social/Community Psychology. These degrees will help in my future goal of improving public policies.
So far I have looked in University of Iowa and South Western Illinois University. I wanted to go to a college in CA, but with the recent investigation in to their colleges not reporting sexual assault case (including Harvard and Stanford) I cannot consciously support attend a college there.
I am also looking into internships with research centers to gain experience, but most require a Masters degree. Same for Student Loan Repayment Programs, but they require the degree to be in Clinical Psychology.
I have recently finished creating 10 tattoo designs for my friends. I will upload them when my procrastination leaves.
